Shahriar, Congratulations on such an excellent website. I am very impressed on the articles on Zarthushtra and the religion, the cyber temple and your zeal to help people to evolve through self-actualisation courses. Such involvement in a person so young is admirable. May Ahura Mazda's choicest blessings be always yours and may you always be enfolded in His love and Divine Light and illiumination. Your site is bookmarked to enable me to check it constantly.

Shahriar, I've heard that Ashu Zartosht has been mentioned by Kant (sp?), the German philosopher, as the 'ideal human being'. Do you, or anyone else, have the exact reference to that writing? If so, perhaps that can be included somewhere in your site. Regards.

I am deeply fascinated by this page, Mazdaism teaches me being which is complex to get from most religions, but as I recall all religions were sent by God to the individual needs of the different races of the world and I as an Aryan adhere primarally to Zoroastrianism.

This is a really wonderful site, and the links are very very interesting. There is so much I have been told, and I find it fascinating to read about things my parents have told me, and about different views on the numerous topics and conflicts. I often am a little troubled by the lack of knowledge I have about my religion and the lack of place to really connect with other Zoroastrians and have that sense of togetherness that other religions have. Certainly I feel an immediate kinship when I meet another Zoroastrian. . .however... when is that? At the occasional function and the 2 Youth Congresses I attended. What can one expect from a religion that does not allow conversion (at least where I am in the US). We have lasted so long, yet we are a dying religion, and it truly saddens me. .. unless many many changes happen soon. I do appreciate these cites and the way they give me more insight and knowledge. Thank you.

As a convert to Islam (fortunately there are still communities which accept converts) I am interested in common elements between Zoroastrianism and Islam. Whereas there are many studies about common elements in Judaism/Christianity on one side and Islam on the other, I am not aware of any scientific study of common elements in Zoroastrianism and Islam; or influences of one on the other. I think there are many, e.g. 1) prayer 5 times a day; 2) ablutions before these prayers; 3) praying in prescribed direction (for Zoroastrians sun/light; for Muslims first Jerusalem, then Mecca) 4) devil ("Iblis") created from smokeless fire; 5) 101 names of Ahura Mazda vs. 99 names of Allah. Another interesting topic is the divine wisdom behind the collapse of the Sasanian empire. Is there a common view among Zoroastrians about how this sudden event fits into Gods plans? It struck that somewhere in your site it was said that unlike the other Zoroastrian dynasties, the Sasanians were not so tolerant towards other religions. Also, Muslims start letters and practical activities by saying "Bismillahi-r-rahmani-r-rahim", "By the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful". What is the tradition behind Zoroastrians saying "By the grace of God"?

Since yesterday I started searching for these things on the net, and I am happy there is so much infor- mation on Zoroastrianism there. Thank you beforehand for your reply.

Years ago when I was researching my first book I was in Karachi and met a Parsee woman there. She promised me that she'd get a holy many of your faith to direct me to Zoroastrian prophecies along with some insight as to the intended meaning of them. I'm not still waiting, I'm a realist and although I have an ability to forese I still seek out the common connections that prophecies from all sources have with one another. My understanding that prophecies indicate an awaited Saoshyant coming from the eastern area of Iran (Nasratabad, now Zabul) is co-relative with the awaited return of the Mehdi and/or Saviour. The biblical reference to a woman (Rev 12:1) adorned with the sun, standing on the moon (Islam's use of the Arab Crescent) is more than passingly relevant. The details of which are expanded in a book I wrote 14 years ago.

There is a very substantial crossing of faiths with prophecy. I'm certain it was the intent of the Creator that we have to investigate the other faiths to get a complete understanding of the nature of "the End Time" and the ability to fully expand our own understanding of prophecy. It seems that not a large percentage of people are open enough to investigate. Which brings me back to my original request... that I have someone who is fully able to show me the prophetic passages in the Avesta and give me some explanation of their perceived meaning.

Thanks

Alan

Shahriar or anyone else knowledgeable in this area: Will you post comments on the significance and purpose of prayers in Zoroasterianism. I see a kind of paradox, if individuals have the 'choice' then praying, i.e., attempting to influence God and asking him to make or enforce our choices(!), seems to be void and purposeless. Thanks.

Just scrolling through your site and wanted to suggest another great site for seekers "www.grailnet.org" . It list "In The Light Of Truth" The Grail Message by Abd Ru Shin and also books on the life of other truth bringers, Zoroaster included. The author Abd Ru Shin writes "I wish to fill the gaps which have so far always remained unanswered in the souls of men, and which never leave any serious thinker in peace, if he honestly seeks for the Truth." "With my Message I now open the Book of Creation for you. The Message clearly shows you the language of God in creation, which you must learn so you can make it you own."

After a long time I visited your site. It is a favorite among the Parsis of United ARab Emirates. I am impressed by your Cyber Temple, and some of your own articles. As life here in Abu Dhabi is quite busy, hectic, I hardly get the time to leisurely browse thru the wealth of info provided by your site and sites linked thereto. For your info, I am from Bombay and I work here in Lucent Technologies International as a Project Scheduler. Being a pucca priest from Cama Athornan Institute, I also perform JAshan Ceremonies in Parsi houses when time permits. In fact today itself, I performed a Jashan at my friend Ronnie's place in Dubai. I would be more than happy to revive contacts with Cama Athornan Students (1962-1971) and Gamadia Hostel Students from 1971-1977. Thanks and Regards, Novzar Dastoor

Dear Sir,

I want to make a request for some information. I was told to write to you to see if I could connect with this person. The Author is Neville who has passed away. His daughter is still alive and I believe she works with you on her fathers publications. My reason for writing is I would like to request permission to use some of Neville's writing's for a program I am putting together.

Thankyou for your consideration, Respectfully,

Gene Pascucci

Hi everyone,

Mobad Firouz Azargoshasb whose biography you have on-line, was our beloved "Amoo"! He was my aunt's father and I could say I was lucky to grow up and have him in my life. As a person he was very wise, kind, and dedicated. He always gave us good advises in life and I will always honor him in my life. when he passed away I felt very sorry not only because I lost a very kind person in my life but because Zoroastrian people lost one of the most knowlegable people in their society.

God bless his soul and heaven be his place.

How can you practice good thoughts, good words , good deads , in a society where bad ness brings ; jobs money financial respect and a way of living . On top of all that its on land that was swindled from a race that had belifes similar to those of a positive family environment . Kind of like if you do bad to me how long before I do bad to you . A Tribe consisted of Your Tribal Elders ,Your Chief, Your Medicine Man , Soilders (warriors), Generals (strongest advanced warriors) , women raising children in peace and harmony with its soundering environments an inclusion of wild animals raised on this land. And they are still having a hard time trying to run there own government on a land that there children ran family based governments on without the inclusion of other continents influince or so the government leads us to believe .

Hi! I'm interested in finding a Zoroastrian representative to help me appropriately describe modern Zoroastrianism in a theological project I am working on. More information about this project is available at: http://eagle.cc.ukans.edu/~kym/theology.html Thank you for taking the time to make this site!

Zoroastrianism has fascinated me for the past 4 yrs of this I would like to have greater acces to this religion but so far it has seemed secretive and insular to westerners. after personaly knowing two young followers and having them being secretive It only makes me hungrier for an attachment to this community of people as I really like the fundamentals of the Zend Avesta is it possible for a westener to become a zoroastrian

I understand that Mr. Jafarey has written a 7 part article on Gathas. As a Zarathusti who knows very little about his religion, I am on an exploration trip. I therefore signed on to this site.
