Biography & Acknowledgement:

 

Producer/Director:

Tenaz Dubash has a Bachelors degree from Cornell University and a Masters degree in Television/Radio & Film from the Newhouse School of Communications.  She has over seven years of production experience including positions at ABC, PBS and CNBC.  She also worked as an associate producer for the Radio, Television, News Director's Foundation on an "Excellence in Journalism" series. She is currently working as a part time, free-lance writer at "FOX". This is her first independent film.

 

Editor:

Michael S. Smith has been editing since 1978.  From 1982-84 he produced more than 100 TV spots for the South American Market. From 1984-94 he edited at "Today Video", a video post house in New York and rose to the ranks of senior editor.  In 1994 he started his own post-production company "M.S. Editorials" by purchasing his own non-linear, broadcast, editing system. He has crafted and edited several documentaries, industrials, TV shows, music videos and news releases and has recently been involved in editing promos for ABC's  "The Century".

 

Cameraperson:

Shahriar Badi is an Iranian citizen. He attended film school in America and has over twelve years of producing, directing and shooting experience in Iran including programs for the Iranian government's cultural division. He speaks English and Farsi fluently and shot on both a Beta-cam and a Digital 3-chip camera for this project.

 

Associate Producer:

Zareen Hakim was one of the pilgrims who traveled to Iran.  She holds a BS in biology from The State Universtiy of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton, and has been working for a financial institution for the past 5 yrs.  Her interests include art and film, and she is working towards pursuing a career in graphic design.  She is active in The Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York (ZAGNY), and will be a speaker at the upcoming World Zoroastrian Congress in Houston.  For this documentary, she has helped greatly with narration, promotion, and graphic design.

 

Music Composer:

Saeed Shahram is a noted composer with over 24 feature length movie sound tracks to his credit since 1983. His accomplishments include awards for "Two Sides Of A Coin", and "Abadanies", the latter winning a prize for Best Film at the 1994 International Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland. Advisor:

Dina G. McIntyre, is a Zoroastrian who was born in India and came to the United States in 1956 to attend Carnegie Mellon University (then Carnegie Institute of Technology), from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.  She then earned a law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law.  She has practiced law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since 1963, and is a member of the bar of all federal and state courts in Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Supreme Court.  In 1997 she left private practice to become legal counsel to a public corporation.  She has been a student of the teachings of Zarathushtra since the early 1980s, and was the Editor of a 12 lesson course on the Gathas called An Introduction to the Gathas of Zarathushtra, which was distributed world-wide in 1989-90 and is available on this site.  She has lectured on the teachings of Zarathushtra at various conferences and seminars in the United States, Canada, England and India.
